Got mine from MicroCenter for $75 - $45 MIR. Hopefully MIR comes through. $30 for a GT240 is a heck of a deal.

How would this compare to a 9800GtX+ ? Would this work well as a PhysX processor ?

A 9800GTX+ is essentially identical to a GTS250, which is a step above this. GT 240s make fine physx cards though, and also have the advantage of being single slot and good heat/noise performance without needing an external power connector.

The GT 240 is actually very low power, in particular in idle.

Yup, the GT 240 uses roughly half the power of a GTS 250.
