eVGA Geforce2 Pro w/TV out 32MB DDR

mixpc.com has this card at $129. I am building a new system and was going to go with a Geforce2 MX card, but stumbled across this. The price is good, but is the card? Anybody use evga cards? Looks like they are pretty generic, but just wondering if someone has used them and can review their performance? Thanks in advance.

Wow. Must be a bad card... nobody has one?

nobody has an evga huh? ok... forget the brand name... since they are offering a Geforce2 PRO card for that price, seems like a real good deal. The benchmarks I've seen here on AnandTech on the PRO vs. the MX are pretty decent. An MX runs about $80-90. Will I get a pretty good boost in performance, considering the price difference?

Also, I have been told that the MX will not really take full advantage my 1 ghz system in gamming. I have been told if I can't get at least a Geforce2 GTS or PRO and I'm going with the MX, that I might as well just get an AMD Duron. So now I'm a little confused. I really want to go with at least a 1 ghz CPU, but if it's going to be crippled by my video card if I get the MX... is it worth it?

I just went to the website, they seem really confused, its it a pro or not? The link calls it a mx, and the desciption calls a pro, then a gts, my guess is that it is a gts, which in that case it is a decent price, but not that hot really.

Anyone know if its a gts or a pro?

Chances are it's a GF2 Pro chip with GF2 GTS memory timings. Meaning the GF2 Pro clk'd @ 200 with mem clk'd @ 333. Nvidia's GF2 Pro spec is GF2 Pro core clk'd @ 200 and 64 MB 5 ns DDRAM (not 32 MB) clk'd @ 400.

I've dealt with eVGA's boards before. Nothing fancy, just Nvidia reference designs. Very solid boards, though. If in doubt, give eVGA an e-mail and ask them what's the real beef.

Yep. Well, if you go by the product number listed on mixpc's site, 032-A4-NV15-01, and cross reference it on evga.com's site, it's a GTS. So your right, a decent price, but I could get the MSI geforce2 GTS from newegg for 128.00 (Free shipping). And with shipping, the card at mixpc comes to about 141.00.
