eVGA GeForce 7800 GTX from moarchcomputer.com

They're selling the card for $485 USD(about $603 CND w/ shipping), which seems like a great deal. Compaired to ncix's $717 CND(w/o shipping). The spec's are all the same expect monarch's offers an extra 20 MHz on the GPU (is this accurate?) and only up to 2 years warranty.

Question is does monarchcomputer.com check out? Is this a new retail card, and why does it not offer eVGA's lifetime warranty. Anyone have any advice to offer about their service, especially with Canadian customers.

I orderd a combo system from them including the mobo, ram and cpu in my sig. It arrived well ahead of schedule and the service was fantastic, go ahead and use their customer support service to ask about the extra 20MHz.

evga had one of the gtx clocked at 430 at the beginning. i don't know if they are still selling it.

as for the warranty, evga's gone to a lifetime now.

as for monarch, i've never had a problem. ordered parts a few times and usually they ship same day.

They say "AMD recommended" for the A1772 HSF which I went ahead and bought, but it is a POS IMO, I'm pretty sure the stock HSF is better and then I found the same one they sell for 50 bucks for 20 awhile back.

Combo arrived fast though, but was flashed w/ bios that didn't work well at all, had memory problems until I reflashed w/ the 6/23 bios. (DFI)

Also canceled an order from them later, they never refunded me (400 bucks) despite my getting confirmation that it was indeed canceled. Had to call back to get refund 2 weeks late.

Their service is good, but they're just slow on shipping. If you're not in a hurry for the card then order from them, but other than that, they're a good place to order from.

I got my mobo\CPU from them (MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum\A64 3200+ Winchester), and they flashed the BIOS on my board to the newest rev, and also installed the HSF with AS5 for me! I would definitely recommend Monarch at any time :) .

Yep the shipping is slow in my experience as well. They do have great customer service though, I have had to RMA a couple things to them and they were very helpful.
