I believe the X850XT would be overall a more powerful card for everything that doesn't use SM 3.0.

Shame that it's higher than the suggested retail for the GS series cards. I just knew the Woot deal was hotter than expected. I would expect the 7900GS to have a higher than retail premium for a few weeks, then dip to $180'ish. If I don't snag the XFX 7600GT XXX from CC, then I will just wait out the 7900GS deals that will eventually come along in a month or so.
