eVGA GeForce 6800 Ultra 256 DDR3 Driver Question

Hello,


I downloaded the latest Nvidea driver, the 77.72, for the above mentioned card and ran into an error message on one game only. The message says " This application requires graphics driver support for OpenGL 1.3 or higher". The new driver supports OpenGl 2.0 and I'm wondering what the deal is. This is only happening on one game, Riddick. All my other games are fine. I rolled back the driver to the previous one and Riddick was fine again. All my other drivers are updated. Anyone have any ideas what this may be? I posted on the Riddick game forum and didn't get any advice other than to update my drivers. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I saw your post regarding unlocking the pipes and I can't say I've heard of this procedure, of course, that doesn't mean anything. Will this work for my particular card? I've heard of the Riva Tuber and I'll check that out too. I did go back to the previous driver and I see there's a Beta driver in the 80. range at guru3d.com. Maybe I'll give that a shot too. Thanks for your help.

One last thing, in the reply to the links you posted, they mention that OpenGl may have been deactivated. Where would you activate it from? Thanks again.

No that procedure is for a 6800 vanilla. Yours already has all the pipes unlocked.

Just google around for it. Chances are you're not the only person with the problem. That's what I was trying to get at by posting the google link.

Edit: Here's your fix. It's the latest patch for the game.
