I'm looking to unlock the extra 4 pipes on this card...has anyone done this before? If so, have you had any problems? Artifacts, etc? Should I get a better cooler to do this?
 
Search on google for it, as there are plenty of websites that give you the details. I was unable to unlock mine, as artifacts popped up immediately in 3dmark03 after I did it. Stock cooler is fine. If it does not work you can always reverse the process since it is a softmod.
