Frys.com GeForce7900gs 120$AR Saw the BM deal posted but who really wants to go near a retail store today? Not to mention when I lived in Indiana I allways hated the frys bm deals as there wasnt one in the whole state.

Anyhow, best deal/card Ive seen up on BF so have at it AT

EDIT: Well At, stick a fork in this one like it was the turkey you ate on thursday cause this bird is done. Hope some folks got in on it :)

Hope it helps :)

Hot price!
It's eVGA rebate which is great too.
I got mine back within 3 weeks of submission.

Earlier today I e-commented to evga on their lack of website info on EITHER of their 7900gs cards... pretty lame on their part.

Yup, this is the 624, judging from their rebate coupon, and that lacks the HDCP although every other feature (as listed on NewEgg) seems identical. 'Spose this means it lacks the encryption code stuff? 'Unsure how much I care, but I suspect I do for HTPC use! But it surely is an attractive price.

FWIW, nVidia is releasing a new, 80nm version of their 7600 chip which runs 25% faster than the current version. I'm inferring there may soon be new 7600's which approach the current 7900GS.

I just bought one....It was a good enough deal on a good enough card for me :) It should be at least a decent step up from an overclocked 6800.

Good luck getting your rebate back. It took eVGA 3 months to get mine back and if I hadn't lucked up and found the right person to contact I would have never seen the rebate.

Note the site says "when purchased between 11/23/2006 and 11/25/2006", yet the rebate is good only today (11/24/2006).

I just ordered this as an upgrade to the Xpress 200 onboard video in my socket 939 board. Should go decently with the A64 4000+ CPU upgrade I got a couple of months ago. Now it's a decent system for cheap. I'm happy. Thanks OP.

Bummer! I read it thought the deal was good through today, so I deferred the purchase yesterday. Well... guess I've been saved another $120.... :(

You should've gotten in on the PNY 7900GS deal a week or two ago... link I got one for $126.99 after a coupon and a $5 reward zone coupon. Out the door for $136.20 which seemed pretty reasonable. Good card too.

I ordered one of these cards on-line; did anyone who picked them up at the B/M store notice if a game came with the card? EVGA's site states that either Half-Life: Episode One or Hitman: Blood Money comes with the card.

Local Fry's sold eVGA part number 256-P2-N624-FX and there were no games in the box. The games come with an eVGA 7900GS packaged under a different part number.
