The fact is that their market share is picking up momentum, despite AMD's early lead.

Must be hard for you

AMD had 100%, Nvidia had to sell 1 card to lower their market share. I have no doubt that Nvidia will continue to carve away percentage for a while, AMD has a percentage that is impossible to keep... they just are not going to hold 97% DX11 market share forever. This is hardly any sort of victory for Nvidia.

Are you guys video card enthusiasts, or video card company enthusiasts? Because after reading this thread, it's hard to tell.

You understand that at the current rate NVIDIA will equal 5800/5900 numbers of units when the next 12 millions of GTX 480/470/5800/5900 have been registered on steam.

You understand that from January to February, considering number of accounts immutable, there were 200,000 new 5800 series cards registered in Steam. But from February to March only 70,000 units were registered.

You understand that from April to May the number of new 5800+480+470 was around 70,000 units and the total DX 11 share only grew by 150,000 units.

The growth from January to February of DX11 was 310,000+ units. Twice as much the last month growth.

The early lead simply sealed the deal where this generation is concerned.

This NVIDIA momentum is due to the people that were simply going to buy NVIDIA new gen regardless of competition.
