It isnt much faster than a 8800GTS 512MB card at all, but it will appeal to people who want to run 3 of them in SLI.

Not quite dual-core. It's two separate video cards stuck together with SLI circuitry between them. It's way faster than the 9800GTX in games that do well with SLI, but can be beaten in games that don't utilize SLI well.
