eVGA 8800GTX running hot?

I recently purchased an entirely new system (see sig), and was looking through at the components thermal output, and the video card was running at a fairly steady 60-66 degrees. This seems pretty hot to me. This is stock cooling by the way, no overclocking of any of the components ... yet. This is not during a game either, just basic Windows operation.

Can anyone tell me where the temps should hover normally, and under load (i.e. STALKER)?

That's normal. Under load, I get temps approaching 80 at some times. Don't worry, the 8800 can handle it.

I'm looking at your sig ... and I have never really OC'd the processor ... is it an easy thing to do (since we have the same processor & vid card).

If you got better than stock cooling, yes it is. Check out the CPU/Processors and Overclocking Forum for help. :)

Or use Riva Tuner and set fan speed to 85% like I do, this is using XP of course.

Does the fan default to 100%? I can't adjust it in the nvidia control panel and I already get 50c idle.

Are you using Ntune to adjust it, cause that was annoying to me thats why I use Riva.

Or even just use a PCI slot cooler - I got one that is indistinguishable from the rest of my system sound-wise (and the loudest thing I've got going are my Yate Loons at 12V)... Little 2 slot Antec thing, was $10.

I tried, that downloads right from nvidia right? All the options are grayed out.
