EVGA 8800GTS blurry

I've done some reading around and honestly am not too sure what boat I fit into.

I have an EVGA 8800GTS (320mb) with a Samsung 941BW (or was it 940) 19" WS lcd.

I installed Vista business for the first time, loaded up the Vista 158.22 forceware drivers and everything worked fine.

So I decided to reformat and run XP Pro SP2 instead (for compatibility reasons).
I loaded up the 158.22 forceware drivers and the display became blurry.

I know my card isnt defective (or shouldnt be) because I've played CnC3 and Oblivion for a good number of hours on Vista flawlessly.

Also, I can tell the display is working properly because although I'm not at native resolution before I install the video card drivers, I'm pretty sure its clearer then before any drivers get installed.

The EVGA CD drivers give me the same results.

I'm using DVI. The reason I ask is because I know everything can work properly (it has in Vista). I'm just clueless as to why XP, the supposedly more compatible OS, is giving me this problem.

Any suggestions?

Well, you don't have any monitors you could temporarily hook up? You don't have another video card you could try? You know that the video card was working correctly, but who is to say it's still good? Maybe format and reinstall XP again? I would try another video card and see what happens.

try going to Guru3d.com and download the previous version for drivers. make sure you properly uninstall the ones you have now. (device manger, etc). When you say BLURRY, do you mean poor resolution or like blurry, wrong glasses prescription, blurry?
