Heh factory OC-ed MSI card for 130$, that's about 1/3th I paid for mone 8 months ago. 290$ makes a 8800gtx worth considering again when playing high res ?

So then what's the better deal? An 8800GTS (320MB) for $115 AR or 8800GS (256MB) for $110 AR? Or even compare to a 9600GT for about $125 AR.

I've been looking to get a decent card for a good price. Was just recently comparing the 8800GS and 9600GT and now this GTS comes in for the same price! o_O

9600gt and 8800gs and 8800gts 320 should be about same. Win some lose some type of situations. 9600gt is better with AA though because it has 512mb vram.

Wow $289 bones for a brand new EVGA Geforce 8800 GTX is a great deal! I didn't think they would get so cheap.

I'd still get two 9600 GT's at $149 a piece and call it a day. This is the only time I'm jealous of Nvidia cards. 9600GT's are sooooo cheap right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but at high resolutions (like 30" monitors) the GTX is still the way to go right? Only other thing that would be a choice is the 9800GX2 or whatever it's called.

For 30", yeah the extra bandwidth and framebuffer comes in very handy. This becomes painfully apparent for G92 when applying AA.

I'm seriously considering grabbing a second GTX for SLI at this price ... very tempting!
