EVGA 8800 GTS Installation CD problem?

I just purchased a new 8800 GTS from EVGA and when I tried to install the cd that came with the card I get an error in Windows telling me it doesn't recognize it. It's not a big deal since I can just go online and download the lastest drivers but I thought this was strange since all my other installation cd's worked fine for my other components.

Don't use the CD drivers. Get the latest to circumvent any bad key issues. You'll get the latest and greatest of your card anyway by going online.

Answer is in your sig. Chances are the drivers on the install disc are older than the ones that installed with Vista, since the 8800s were released before Vista and there weren't WHQL or even decent Vista drivers until a week or two after Vista's release.

As mentioned, download the latest 169.69 WHQL or 169.71 Beta drivers and don't even bother with what's on the install CD. Pretty SOP for any new hardware actually, unless you like bloatware and incompatible/buggy throw-in software.
