Free game with it: 60$ right there. Plus you know its gonna run so -20$ for insurance (shipping for rma etc etc.)

Good deal to me.

You get a free game with any of the XFX 7900GTs. Getting a card like this doesn't make much sense economically considering for $399 you can get a 7900GT CO and an aftermarket cooler.

As for the RMA thing, doesn't seem so different from standard RMA services from eVGA.

this is seriously too funny...I'm willing to be these are essentially volt modded 7900gt's supported by EVGA! Any owners of this card, please do vcore DMM test! ;)

Could this be nVidias temporary answer to the x1900xt's!? ;)

It's so funny to me how everyone rags on those wanting to spend their money on hassle-free items. Not everyone wants to volt-mod. Not everyone wants to put aftermarket coolers on their video card to save a few dollars. People have been paying for convenience as long as others have been complaining about prices. What I've learned is that some people are just cheap and if you listen to them, you will never have what you want. They have the same PC for 5 years and act as if they are the smart one for suffering through low frame-rates and failing hardware because it has been tweaked to the eyeballs to save some cash. If this card does all of that out of the box, you have saved yourself lots of time and headaches unless you are an electrical engineer. Enjoy it and let us know how your out-of-the-box volt-modded super-cooled signature series card works out. In 6 mos, you won't even remember you spent an extra $100 or whatever on it. As long as you are getting value for that money, you did the right thing.

hey now.. let's not be hasty...

i mean, how can you put a price on "Signature Member" status on our Online Member Forums?

but seriously.. the 600+mhz clock is kind of nice. there's alot of ppl not getting much over mid 500mhz with theirs, so a guaranteed 600mhz is pretty nice.

QFT, It bugs me when I hear stuff about how how much better a X1800XT is over a OC variant of a 7900GT because their X1800XT overclocked to 690MHz. I personally Stopped over clocking a couple of years ago. I over clocked because PIIs where too expensive ($400+ for low end PII) and it gave me a chance to actually run Tresspasser. Nowadays people call people names because they didn't OC their $500 CPU or call them names because they hing their $100 CPU living its life on the edge is faster and cost half as much. It doesn't make much sense to throw away manufacturer backing to get an extra frame or two when their is an easy fully warranted part just as fast. I mena this is only like what 30-40 dollars more expensive then a Supper Clock and is faster and has several bonuses like a better cooler, a nifty box, the ability to pimp every one of the bottom feeders who only buy the cheapest cards because they can just OC it up in the step up line, A game of your chioce so if tombraider ain't your thing you can get something else. Personally I gave up on Lara Croft after the second time they gave her a breast reduction.

So while you guys can have fun spending your firs ten days trying to figure out what speed won't cause your system to lock up and spending the next year trying to figure out what else might be causing a lockup or reboot here or there, there are people who would rather not go through that trouble. Now their is a card from them and honestly the price while expensive for those who refuse to pay more 300, doesn't really seem all that bad.

QFT...yup, that's what overclocking should be...fun, a hobby, a challlenge for techies, whatever...
No one should accuse people of not maxing stuff out 'cause they just can't or don't want to spend time on it and therefore spend more money... :)

Said the guy who bought probably the most overpriced card today when compaired to the X1900XT. Talk about being a Hyppocrite.

My 7900GT "CO" runs at 550/1600. I bet I could get another 50 Mhz out of it with my Zalman VF900.

Competition is always good. Other firms will recognize that they also need higher clocked cards to compete and with G80 we might see this type of overclocking even more common. I personally wouldn't pay $100 extra for a preoverclocked graphics card but at the same time it gives you almost the speed of 512mb version for $100 less (512mb isn't helping much for Nvidia anyways).

If only ATI partners preoverclocked their cards too.
