eVGA 7800GT's: 256-P2-N516, 256-P2-N515-AX, 256-P2-N518, 256-P2-N517-AX, ...

The clock speeds are different on some, but not all. Are these just different revisions of the same board? Should I assume higher numbers == better? If I were to get a second one to run in SLI mode, would it have to be the exact same number, or would any eVGA 7800GT work?

Those model numbers came from Newegg, btw.

you know that some are 7800GTX's and some are 7800GT's right? As long as you have a PCI-Express slot and a PCI-express 6 pin molex connector any one would work. And if you have a SLI Mobo then SLI would work too. Within the 7800GT (not GTX) line, higher numbers do mean better. However a 7800GTX at 430 would crush a 7800GT at 460.

N515-AX - Regular clocked EVGA 7800 GT (445/1070) with the reference Aluminum cooler.
N518-AX - Same as 515-AX, except it comes with an extra box.
N517-AX - "CO" Version, clocked at 470/1100 and has a Copper cooler with a larger fan (the same fan thats on the GTX).
N516-AX - This is the "CO SE", but its clocked at 460/1100 and it also comes with the same cooler as the regular "CO" version.

Crescent13: yeah, I only listed the GT models though (or at least I meant to if I didn't). GTX's are a bit out of my price range.

Thanks for the info, shroom. One thing, though, some of the model numbers on newegg don't have the "-AX", whereas all of the ones in your list do. Is there a difference between the N516 and N516-AX?

Looks like 517 > 516 > 518 == 515.

Actually, the co editions don't use the same heatsink as the gtx. It's slightly smaller, and has a considerably louder fan.

Besides the enhanced heatsink, EVGA also outfits the e-GeForce 7800 GT CO Edition with the same fan used on GeForce 7800 GTX cards.
