eVGA 7600GTS to X1800XL (flashed to XT)

After I get my 3870 I was thinking of trading my brother my X1800XL for his 7600GTS and asking for around $30 and then selling his 7600GTS so I can get some money for the trade and he can have a faster card. He currently has an A64 3200+ @ 2.0ghz and 1 gig of RAM. I can probably convince him to overclock his CPU to 2.2-2.4ghz to help out.

With that, how much faster do you think his computer will be? He's not a gadget freak and only cares that his computer can run, seriously, even though he plays a lot of the newer titles out. He has a 21" Sony CRT that he usually games at 1024x768 (yeah, I know) so I'm hoping this upgrade will let him game at higher settings. He lives kind of far away and I rarely get over there so I'm not sure how much of an upgrade this will be for him, for $30. If memory serves me I think it's going to be close to 2x the performance.

Thanks.

if its flashed to XT then itll kill the 7600GT stone dead. i got this X1800XL All in Wonder for £35 for my media pc and i had a 7600GT in my gaming pc, when i benched it at stock it gave me 1500 points extra in 3dmark 05 so i swapped. an XT will be a lot faster still so go for it, just make sure your brother appreciates it.

Roughly it should 2/3 faster than the 7600gt. 1800xt performs similar to 1950pro on newer games and faster in older games.
