well i had my system running fine at 3.6 orthos stable for over 9 hours on the old bios.

Then i did something incredibly stupid. I decided to jump to p26.

NOW my computer has problems running stock. So i flashed back to P25, and now she wont hang stable at 3.6ghz longer then 25min. She hangs and reboots.

Umm... Is my board fubard? i heard EVGA's had this problem.

PSU: PCnC 1Kw
Board: EVGA 680i
Cooling: High Performance H2O <-- dont worry its not my cooling.
Ram: Super Talent: The ones with the blue heat spreader. Micron D9 to be exact.

BLAH... im just a second away from RMAing the board.

What will you be getting?

the same board.

Dont get me wrong, the board is extremely nice. Being able to manually adjust the FSB and memory is a big bonus. I dont need to depend on the stupid dividers, as the board will auto scale the divider for me.

Also, the layout of the board is absolutely perfect. Every last detail about the board is exactly how i wanted it. I can totally understand now why this board one of the OC'ers top choice.

Its just i ended up doing somethign stupid as flashing the bios. I Always learned never flash unless your absolutely stuck. In my case i flashed becasue my temp sensor was on the fritz.

Anyhow the board has lifetime warrenty, and Advance replacement. I cant think of another company that has these warrenties. :\

OH wellz, i guess i'll get my A1 Revision. Mine is currently an AR

Well dang, you may have just sold me on this board. It does come at a pretty hefty premium though. But for me, price is not as important as having quality high performing products.

You know, it was my impression that the mobo BIOS should be updated ASAP when building a computer...thats what I used to always do. I guess that conventional wisdom does not always hold true.
