Hey guys,

Along with the death of my mobo; I decided to upgrade my Core 2 Duo E4600 to a Core 2 Duo E8500. I'm looking for recommendations on a motherboard that will go great with what I have.

Components for upgrade:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
Mobo: (need recommendation)
PSU: Corsair TX650W
Memory: Corsair 6GB XMS2 PC2-6400 800Mhz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770

I'm not running SLi/XFire, but eventually plan to. I'm not looking to go xtreme over clocking, but I'd like to go over defaults a bit.

I'm trying to go for something that's under $110'ish if possible.

Any recommendations? I've been considering the Asus P5Q PRO; but thinking it may be a little overkill considering that I'm running only DDR2 800mhz memory, anways - I'll wait for some suggestions!

Thanks fellas (and ladies)

Why would you not go with an i5 or i7? If you're upgrading might as well get something modern.

The E8500 was pretty much given to me from a friend who had it new, but ended up never using it - I took him out to lunch, and I was up an E8500 thereafter. Also; it's not financially viable for me at the moment, to purchase new RAM for a greater upgrade. So I'm now taking this opportunity to do a minor upgrade, with essentially a free CPU.

yeah, not too many left out there. A quick search found this

Good luck! I'm running an EVGA 680i board. Best one I've ever owned.

No one has mentioned warrenty? Depending on the model (T vrs A? not sure) but one has a lifetime warrenty if my memory serves me right. Check it out on EVGA.com, also work just asking if they'll replace it. EVGA is a solid company and might just do it.
