I am confused as to which card of the two is better performer and overclocker... Any recommendations guys?

Evga 6800NU
Leadtek 6800NU

I've heard the Leadtek cards are usually better performers. The evga card is for 283$ and the Leadtek card is for 289$.

Has anyone confirmed its DDR3? Even on XFX's website, it seems they're not sure. First they say its just DDR, then they say DDR3, then they say it has 256MB DDR, which is really odd since it's only got 128MB.

If you go here: http://www.xfxforce.com/product_view.php?sku=PVT40KND
They call the card " GEFORCE 6800 128 MB DDR DUAL DVI & TV OUT"
Then in the overview it says "High-Speed GDDR3 Memory Interface"
Then under specifications, it says "Memory Configuration

256MB 256bit DDR Memory "

who knows yet if this thing has GDDR3, hopefully some other AT'ers can confirm how high this card clocks in a few days once they receive them...even if you don't go with the XFX, the Chaintech seems appealing with it's higher clockspeeds...

Very doubtfull it has GDDR3, even their site shows it as having DDR like all the rest of the standard 6800 cards. I also highly doubt the GPU is clocked 50 MHz faster than their own GT model. The dual DVI is a nice feature however :). I don't trust any of those newegg figures myself as they seem all over the place for the standard 6800 cards.

yeah, doubtful on the ram, but i could see the core being clocked at 400mhz...yes, it's 50mhz higher than the 6800gt, but remember, this thing only has 12 pipes compared to 16 on the GT

As soon as people buy my stuff (see sig) I'll order one of these and find out!!!!! :D

I personally prefer leadtek. But it doesnt really matter.

Edit: Leadtek usually has the best cooler designs and oc very well, MSI also does this.
