evga 6800GT dieing??

Recently, I am gettin artifacts in videos and on my desktop for a few seconds. I can't play games at all, it will freeze and give me the bsod. The gpu core temp at idle is 58C. 3dmark freezes after ~15 seconds.

I cranked down the cpu speed, everthing to default, tried diff nvidia drivers.
Card was never o/ced and always properly vented.

Hmm...the card will be one year old next month on the 10th. So...u guys think this card is goin bye bye? :-(

I am gonna pop this card in my secondary box...will update.

PSU ? it is also an equal importance also..

PSU is Turbolink 420W

The card is perfect on my other box, no artifacts, ran 3dmark flawlessly. Both boxes have the same drivers too. I guess it's not the card..hmm...

I've got a Turbolink 420 too.

I've got a couple that came with the cases I purchased, although not bad for a "free" PSU (way better than Powmax for example) these are only rated for 18amps on the +12 volt rail.

As with many low-level PSU's, the ratings are prolly "generous". Thus, it is likley your problem. As suggested above, try testing with another PSU
