eVGA 6800 GT

I've been reading some of the other threads here and it would seem that the BFG 6800 GT is actually a re-branded reference card.

I was wondering if the eVGA 6800 GT is also an nVidia reference card or not? I just ordered one from Newegg yesterday (it's coming today! 🙂) and I was just curious.

Thanks!

It's reference. In fact nVidia at this time is manufacturing the GTs and Ultras through Flextronics.

Interesting, then, that the BFG is supposed to come factory pre-overclocked. Does that imply that *all* shipping 6800 GT cards are therefore likely to be capable of the same OC levels? Hmm.

A 10% OC is pretty much assured with nVidia cards for years. BFG likely just wants to take advantage this with effective marketing. Sounds like its working...especially when so many still wonder 'how do they do that?'.
Answer: Yes its likely all will OC some.
