EVGA 590SLI and the 8 pin connector

What is the story behind this by the cpu. This board should be delivered today and I'm wondering if what I hear about the normal 4 pin harness is ok to plug into the mobo if I'm not running power hungry GPus. Just running a 7800 gt co se for now the gpu is next on the upgrade list though.

Yes, normal 4 pin connector will work just fine.
