EVGA 5900 nu core speed?

Just used coolbits to check core clock and it's @ 300....this card should be 400. I'm confused, can I safely bump it up to 400?? Anyone have any advice/input as to why it says 300 for the core clock

Thanks

That is the 2d setting. When a 3d application is detected it bumps it up to 400MHz.

There should be a drop down menu that says, Settings "Standard (2d)". Change that to "Performance (3d)" to see the 3d clockspeed.

Yep, default is 400mhz for 3d.

Just like to say thay I believe you have made a very good choice with the eVGA 5900nu, I have one and it is the best card I have owned, I can benchmark all the way up to 515/1010+ and game at 490/1000. I hope you have a simmilar experence.

ah ok thanks.....3dmark03 was showing my card @ 300, which got me confused....thanks

thanks titan....not sure how confident I am with overclocking but i'll prolly give it try
