EVGA 132-BL-E758-RX memory divider issue...?

Running an I7 920 cpu at 191fsb X 21 multi (22 in turbo of course) and have the memory Gskill Trident 3X2gig PC16000 at 1906mhz 8-8-8-24 and seem to have an issue from time to time with running the memory divider at 2/10 in the bios... Sometimes it will only boot into Win7 at 2/8 so it slows the memory down to like 1524mhz and no matter how many times or other settings I try it just gets kinda stuck...? Up or down in the settings... But if I get to playing with other settings like lower the multiplier or raise the FSB it will all of the sudden kick in... Also have tried it with some of the stored profiles and has no effect...? Have updated to the newest bios and it seemed to work fine for a while but noticed it today and had to mess with it to get back to the 2/10 divider...

Anyone else seen this...?

Are you making sure your CPU uncore frequency is twice the ram divider? So in your case 20... if you have it on auto, try manually setting it

I would also post on the evga forums as well

Another thing to try, reset your bios and re enter all your settings again instead of loading from a profile

Yes setting the uncore at 20... Auto setting means the same as "idot light" 😀

I`ll give it a shot with just resetting the bios and in the process I think I did that to get it to work right again...

EGVA forums... DOH...! :hmm: Should have thought of that... thanks

If it makes you feel better, i've never had good luck with the 2:10 divider either

Elganja... thanks for sure, I found my answer in the EVGA forums... In the bios it has a turbo setting but it also has a turbo performance setting which I found is just for 6X cpu`s and when enabled it locks the divider to 2/8 no matter what cpu is in it... Set it to off and bingo the divider will do whatever I want... 😎
