There is this website, outervision.com where I put in my PC components, their would-be running frequencies, and hit a calculate button. According to the site if i ran my CPU and GPUs at an Overclocked frequency 4.4ghz, (1400mhz x2 for gpus) It says TDP total 1160w, give or take. My question is Is it safe to be running My Computer all the time using about 90% of its watt availability, or should i get a stronger psu?

It's more than enough. I'd say even a 1000W should be fine with plenty of headroom. When component vendors give TDP advice it's notoriously inflated. Whenever I look at a highly efficient Maxwell GPU like the 970 I still see "recommended PSU 600W" on a lot of websites.

Total system draw is typically in the 330W range for a build with an overclocked CPU with that GPU(also overclocked). That should tell you a bit how inflated these guidances are.

Even with overclocked everything you're unlikely to breach past much more than 700-800 W. Also, the old argument used to be, get a PSU in which your typical load is around 50% for maximum efficiency.

But on the newest generation of PSUs, that's no longer valid. A G2 Supernova PSU which is at 70-80% load will still be highly efficient, at over 90%. The major issue, then, is noise. Below 50% load it can stay passive in cooling. So you're only really paying for quiet at this stage, is it worth the extra premium over a 1000W PSU? Only you can decide.

1300G2 is plenty for that setup. i have seen quad SLI titans run by a single EVGA 1300. you should still be around 65% load, even with strong OC.

Thank you both. If there is anyway I can rate you up or something like "TomsHardware" then let me know. Im new to this site. Ive spent hours researching PSUs but Im only doing my second full build. Ill get the 1300G2.
