So I have an EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 motherboard and I am trying to install ubuntu on it from thumb drive. I can't for the life of me figure out how to boot from USB. I actually have within the last week been successful to boot from a thumbdrive, but the install failed due to not being able to install the bootloader. Haven't been successful since.

I am following this guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/How to install Ubuntu on MacBook using USB Stick to setup the thumb drive.

I've tried using a different usb drive, changing usb ports, resetting BIOS, looking in BIOS for any usb related options.

Thanks for any help.

You motherboard should have a keystroke for boot option on bootup. F12 for example then you pick your thumdrive. Beyond that it would be your image or how you created the bootable thumb drive.
