EVGA 1080 FTW available now on newegg (for how long I don't know)

Amazon has had them in stock for a couple days at $680 prime shipped. B&H also had them in stock from the 6-10 of this month.

Personally, I'm a bit agitated with Newegg's communication and handling times. Received and artifacting G1 Gaming from them on the 17th and had to haggle just to get store credit for a different card (coil whine on this gen's windforce cooler). Much better biting the bullet on tax and heading to Microcenter IMO, if theres one within an hour or so. 30 day returns and all that. Hopefully the Zotac Extreme I decided on instead arrives functional.

May the silicon lottery be in your favor, mod

I have no idea how good this card is, just that I decided this was the one for me, and I wanted it at "retail", not the "rape" price of $900. If others wanted it, just letting them know. Last time it was only available for one day or less, and I let it slide, with my Hawaii vacation coming up. Not this time though, back from the islands.

I get the Newegg emails that tell me the other cards are in stock and less than a minute of receiving the email, I see 'out of stock' and the auto-notify button.

well, the only reason I posted, is that happens to me, but this time, first it said available, but it was the $900 price from a different retailed (I think klick online) but when I refreshed it came up with the newegg one, and the $680, so I grabbed it.

Why did you decide on the FTW? From what I've read it seems like the 1080s rely on the silicon lottery too much. That adding power or better cooling doesn't help that much. so it's better to get the cheapest 1080 and hope you win the lotto.
