everywhere but one place WIFI

My Asus EEEPC connects everywhere but at one restaurant. It will connect with a wired connection there as the manager tried it for me. He rebooted his server. No change. Everyone else connects there and I connect everywhere else. I read the sticky here. Didn't see anything. I am not trying to have anyone solve this with such little info, but just ask what info should I look for to help the manager track this down?

You need to figure out where your wireless is failing.

Is it an encryption problem? Signal problem? Are you not getting a DHCP address? If you've got Vista/Win7 your windows firewall might be blocking you as well.

windows 7, and we tried it with firewall disabled. It happens everywhere in cafe so I don't think it is a signal issue. How do I determine DHCP address? thanks.
Encryption was what I am thinking, but I think he tried different encryption. I think. I will check on that.

Make sure the AP isn't in your exclusion list. There is a place where you can say "never connect to these APs" in your wireless client utility or if you're using windows native wireless support as well.
