Everytime I restart my computer, mysterious files appear in my hard drive!

I just did a clean install of xp, and installed all my programs. Everytime i restart, two text files appear in drive C called "Pollog" and "PollST".

Inside Pollog it says: "-19:11:42:858-0x00000728...Loading instance 0x400000, ThreadID = 0x728"

Inside Pollst it says:
"-19:11:42:818-0x00000724...Calling StartServiceCtrlDispatcher()
-19:11:42:828-0x00000728...Entering CNTService::ServiceMain()
-19:11:42:828-0x00000728...Entering CNTService::Initialize()
-19:11:42:828-0x00000728...CNTService::SetStatus(1332896, 2)
-19:11:42:858-0x00000728...CNTService::SetStatus(1332896, 4)
-19:11:42:858-0x00000728...Leaving CNTService::Initialize()

Where are these files from, and how do i get rid of them!?

thanks, i guess there is no way to get rid of them. they have to do with the ATI catalyst 3.4 drivers. so i just made them hidden. problem solved.
