Im doing a major upgrade from an AMD system to an INTEL cpu/mobo and also venturing into SATA. The oem drive i want to order from newegg is apparently just the bare drive. Will everything I need be included in the motherboard package? I'm getting the Intel i865G D865GBFL Retail Package to go with my P4-3.0C. I know it comes with SATA cables but do I need any kind of special power adapters or plugs. I don't want to order all the parts only to find out i need something else that the OEM HD did not come with.

What hard drive are you getting? If it has the older style Molex power plug, you're good to go. If not you'll have to buy a Molex to SATA power adapter as the board doesn't come with them assuming your PSU doesn't have the correct connector.

a lot of mobo's that take SATA come w/ Molesx/SATA power adapters. Check w/ your mobo before you buy anything. if it doesn't have one, PM, i have one you could have for shipping and a smile.
