Everything you know about car advertising is a lie

I always assumed it was pure CG. But yah, its probably less work just to drop a digital body on physical object.

dont even have to watch the link to know what it is. it's really amazing, no surprise it's taking the interwebz by storm.

Does it switch between FWD, RWD and AWD? If it doesn't, the driving dynamics won't be correct for all vehicles.

being electric I am sure that is not an issue... I would think they have an controllable electric motor on each corner. a motor at each axle at the least

Wait, you mean the commercials we have now aren't CGI?

I'm disappointed.

I'm sure some are, but this seems to reduce the cost. Probably cheaper to hire these guys to drive that rig around and impose a digital file over the car instead of paying a CGI design house to do it from scratch. Or they likely do the real car and then send it off the a CGI company to do all the magic, which would be very expensive.

The break through here is the automation of the system. Drive the car around then immediately place the body on it and tinker with colors and post processing. Sounds like the dream of most marketers.
