Ea will release a "collector " edition ( yeah right, like if 500k + copies of a videogame should be call collector lol ) of Need for Speed Most Wanted.

I really feel special.Really.As a customer, im really dumb and i think that im really getting more by purchasing the collector edition( because i think im getting less than i should with the non collector )

So videogame compagnies now, rather than giving you more when you buy your game, give you less, and give you the feeling you are getting "more" with your collector edition!!

The bottom line is all that matters. If they can sell 500,000 copies of a "Special Edition" when there is nothing really special about it, then power to them.

It's not gonna change until customers refuse to buy such products.

Blizzard's World of Warcraft Special Edition is phenominal I didn't mind paying whatever extra i did for it. It's really solidly made and put together.

Everyone still bought battlefield 2 even though its full of bugs and EA is well known for whipping their programmers half to death. So EA doesn't give a sh|t.

People keep buying madden even though its just the same game every year. So EA doesn't give a sh|t.

dude, I am so FVCKING pissed I didn't buy the CE for WoW. I have bought every other CE from blizzard...just not WoW b/c I didn't think I would play a MMORPG.

last collectors edition i purchased was world of warcraft and came with a bunch of goodies and in game pets, after blizzard went and sold millions and millions of copies of WOW regular edition my collectors edition is now pretty unique.

This collector edition YEAH WAS WORTHING IT.Hell you were receving extremely lots of extra content with your purchase.( and im still mad i never been able to buy this, i wanted my mini diablo )

But yeah this hl2 col edition...was sucking arse.

To some people, having the extra races and cars and the bonus DVD will be worth the extra $10. Like mojoed said, things are not going change until customers stop buying these types of products. That's why I refuse to buy/play a MMORPG. I'm not a big fan of the whole subscription thing and I'm hoping that it will change in the near future.
