Everything starts but nothing displays

The build is complete but for some reason nothing will display on the screen.

Current Specs:
AMD Athlong X2 5200
MSI K9N SLI V2
Corsair XMS2 2GB
PCIe 8600GT (also tried PCI 6200)
CoolerMaster 500W PSU
CoolerMaster 690 Case
Tried Several Monitors current 19in LCD

THe fans move and everything starts up correctly DVD drive, HDD, and all moving/audible parts. But nothing will display on screen. The light on for the HDD on the case lights up red which I believe is supposed to be blue. I am unable to find anything out about this possible "error" report. If anyone has any ideas i would be very grateful. Thank you.
 
nothing. The power LED wont come on which doesnt make sense considering everything is moving and i can eject the DVD drive and feel the HDD moving.
 
tried 2 different mobos, 2 graphics cards, 2 cpu, and 2 psu. this is the most f**ked build for me ever. i dont get what could be wrong. I am going to try a new PSU just to make sure. thanks for all the input.
 
for some reason the power led will not come on with the current PSU. i have tried changing the connection to see if i hooked the led up right. and it seems to be. why would the led not come on when everything appears to be running?
 
Reversed polarity on the led. Pull the connector off the mb, rotate 180°, and re-install. No other reason for it not to light unless it is on the wrong pins or it is defective.

Tried more than 1 cable on the monitors?

Have you tried a vga cable?
