So does everything look good? This is my first time dealing with watercooling parts and just want to make sure everything looks good. I'm just going to be cooling a Q9550, nothing too fancy. Let me know if there are any changes that should be made. I'm trying to keep it around $175. Thanks!

i'll do the hard work for all the WC'ers in here (since i'm the noob) and i'll tell you that those parts aren't very popular

for CPU Block: the latest and greatest are
-EK Supreme
-Apogee GTZ
-Fuzion v2
-koolance 350
unless you go used, then stick with the older popular ones such as: Fuzion v1, Apogee GT

The pump also isn't popular, most people go with:
Swiftech MCP355 + XSPC Reservoir top (for a pump/reservoir package)
Swiftech MCP355 + XSPC Top (for g 1/4 fitting compatibility)
Swiftech MCP655 (2 version, one with variability of speed)

radiator:
not a bad choice, but the one u have chosen must be mounted vertically with the fittings/barbs (same thing) on the bottom
are you mounting the rad inside the case or out? do u have the space for a 3x120? its worth the few bucks more

coolant:
the best cooling is distilled water + Pentosin G11 in a 9:1 waterentosin mix
also add a few drops of Petras Tech Shop "Nuke" to it

tubing:
i dont know any pros for 1/4"ID tubing, but me along with a few others are using 7/16"ID tubing. tygon is also very expensive for tubing. i will be using masterkleer for $0.50/foot.

barbs/fittings:
you'll also need fittings for every part you have there except the CPU Block which comes with barbs.
figure out what parts ur going to get then we'll tell u what fittings you'll need with the proper tubing.

The only pro for 1/4" tubing is it might be easier to route, other than that I can't think of a reason to use it. As for the block, the OCZ Hydroflow is a good block, but most of the popular choices perform better. Personally, I'd go with the Apogee GT or Dtek FuZion over the OCZ unless you want max performance. Then you should opt for the GTZ or the Koolance 350. That pump is an OK pump, but the MCP355 and MCP655 is a much better choice. The MCR220 can handle a quad just fine as long as it's a CPU only loop, or CPU and Northbridge. For coolant, I use pure distilled water and this: http://www.petrastechshop.com/sikibyia.html No need for any fancy coolant and distilled is cheap at the grocery. As for fittings, that depends on the tubing size you decide to go with. I prefer 1/2" fittings and 7/16" tubing like this: http://www.moddersmart.com/en/...6in-id-x-5-8in-od.html

High restriction blocks tend to do better than low restriction blocks; but only with the correct pump. There is a new EK Supreme block for 49.99 that is 775 & 1366lga compatible which I bought over the KL - 350

Look here for results with the KL 350, EK lt, GTZ, & D-tek on a really hot chip. (I love the XS forums) Here is the link from which my "Add to cart" purchase was made. It's really nice having the option of using it for either the 775 or 1366 LGA

I also bought a GTZ to go with a 655 & micro.res.v2 low noise 24/7 pc that I am planning on running ~ 4Ghz (q9650)

I like the idea of the smaller tubing...I'm considering a simular system for my new rig, although I'm looking at 5/16ID lines. I would switch out the rad and go with a TFC design as it has lower resistance for such a small pump...but I'm just a noob that WC also.
