I got home after a storm and my router wouldn't run and my network card wouldn't work. I had to go buy new ones at Best Buy. 🙁 I am going to try to get some momey back from my surge protector company.

That may be true but you might have trouble extracting that money from the surge protector company. I'm sure you will have to prove the circuits are fryed or something. It is a lot harder than it sounds 😉

They get away with that because no one connect $30,000 worth of equiment to a small surge suppressor that only handles 1875watts (or something like that)

You will have to prove to them that it was the surge protector that caused the problem, and unless you area l33t electrician, consulting one may cost more than a new router/nic.
