everyone who takes the red pill is not happy

i was just thinking about this. its 7am and pacific time and i'm probably on crack.


but think about this. if you were in the matrix and were in love. had money, power, great kids, found your soulmate etc. your brain's electrical signals would say that you were super happy because they'd believe all of that, and your soulmate is still a real person since there is a real person controlling that projection of themselves in the matrix.

its like say the matrix is a mmporg. or something and you got married in there, and were glued to your computer. you fall inlove in the mmporg and you're still in love right? (btw i play no video games, i am not addicted to ultima online or anything)

so why in your right mind would you ever want to leave that. you'd be happy. happiness is all in your head anyways, and thats what life is about. so lets say all happy people take the red pill. so morpheus doesnt even free those, doesnt even bother trying. so all the others you have left are all loner ass hackers, who barely eat and live in crummy apartments like neo while on computers all the time with no friends. they are big losers. and they get a choice. but this still means that all people who choose the blue pill are these type of people. they are not happy.

despite the incorrect facts, interesting thought nonetheless.

i'm pretty happy with my life right now, decent job, great wife, great kids, nice house . . . so the question would be, if i were informed that all of this was just in my head and that it was all computer generated would i still want to keep it all??

also, WOULD it be computer generated?? or would there be analogous human beings behind each "person" in the matrix?? also, would my children really exist?? but are just online??

so, if i were to leave all that, not only would i screw up my universe but i would screw up theres as well?

tough choices.
 
Well, remember Morpheous apologizing to Neo. He said that usually people who have been in the Matrix for a certain length of time are not brought out. Likely for the very reason you state, that being the difficulty in leaving the "life" one had behind. Neo's loner life would have helped him to adjust, but even then he had some difficulty.
 
Hell yes I'd take the pill to stay in the Matrix! I dun want to eat that nasty ass cream of wheat stuff... blehhhh...
 
There was the bloke in the film who killed the people on the ship cos he'd made a deal and wanted to go back in, because he hated the word outside of the Matrix.
The dude who was pulling all the wires out of the back of the peoples head on the ship.

well i'm assuming your real wife, is another plugged inperson. like morpheus said, you are a digital projection of your real self.

so you're kids probably arent genetically yours but there is still some kid in a little red bubble that is yourkid.
