I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but AMEX just sent me a cheque for $175 because i found the exact same thinkpad listed by IBM on its storefront for $175 less (after I filed a claim with their price protection department)
It's strange, because last month they sent me a letter saying that they never received my fax of the auction where the laptop was cheaper, so it seems they have just taken my word for it ??? .
