The Miami Herald, a Jewish-owned newspaper (i.e. Democratic), has completed their final count of the votes. Gore was still short by at least 140 votes.

I am so glad that this is out. Now the Democrats have no ground to say that the election was stolen.

I'd like to hear what Jesse, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Al Sharpton, and Joe Lieberman have to say now.

75% of Jews vote democratic, mostly reform and conservative non-practicing Jews who believe that the liberalism of their grandparents can replace the praticing of the religion. Orthodox Jews tend to vote overwhelmingly conservative. One of the ironies in American society today is that the Orthodox Jews have much more in common with the Christian fundamentalists than they do with their fellow Jews.

I'm a conservative semipraticing (if this is possible!?) Jew if that makes any difference.

What ever happened to the fact that the Republican National Committee in Florida WROTE on the voter registration cards of over 4,000 voters. They pleaded that if those votes were thrown out we would cheat the voters out of the election. NO! Tampering with the registration cards, which one is obviously not allowed to do, cheats the voter.

You should spend more time studying politics. A little knowledge of demography might make you look less ignorant.

Jewish people are overwhelmingly democrat. The odds are thus overhwelming that a publication owned and managed by one of the Jewish faith would have a democrat slant. This is not a negative or a positive; it is simply reality.

The majority of newspapers owned by gentiles also lean to the left. But, I suppose you PC Police would sanctify that assertion since it is still acceptable to make a reasoned and logical assumption about WASPs.

Do you have figures on affluence as well? What I'm curious about is:

If 80% of American Jews are democrat, and the other 20% are republican and also the most affluent, it could stand to reason that a good number of Jewish newspapers would be owned by the affluent and therefore republican sector.

Not that I'm arguing with the numbers, I'd just like to see how the affluence breaks down as well, if you have access to those numbers.
