I don't see anything about what exactly you're signing up for. (the whole legal "Do you agree to these terms" - for all we know they'll charge you $500 to cancel - I got as far as entering in my CC info and still didn't see any of those Term pages)

Maybe not so hot...at first glance, it appears to be a promo for web hosting & email, but it's only EMAIL.

You get: 10 Email accounts, 10MB storage per account. No ads.

FAQ

What are the requirements to use my existing domain name?
To use an existing domain name, your Web host must make a simple change to your domain name file to allow us to handle your email.

Do I really own the domain name?
Yes! You will be the registered owner of the domain name, while Everyone.net will be the billing, administrative, and technical contact to handle any related issues. We will register and pay for your domain name as long as you continue to subscribe to our email service.

Will I get a Web site when I register for a new domain name through Everyone.net?
No, the domain name is registered for your email service only. If you want to create a Web site, you will need to register your domain name with a Web hosting company, who will host your site, and then sign up for your email service with that domain name.

Can I transfer this domain name?
Yes, there is a service fee to transfer a domain name from Everyone.net. Please contact dnssupport@everyone.net for details. Fee..I wonder how much??

i've been using namebay.com for 8 months now, i paid 30? for a year on a .net, forwarding, dns management(10 lines), and 10 pop 3 addies that you can either use as pop3, or as forward adresses. 10 aliases on top of that.

just checked, and they lowered their price to 23.5?

eh, even if there wasn't a catch, i'm not sure this is that great of a deal. that's 36 bucks for 10 email addresses and a domain. i dunno, i just have plenty of email addresses as is, and i get 12 buck a year registration.

NccOps - Thanks for the info, I think I'll call the company and do some more research.

Anyone else?

<< the catch? I dunno - zero bandwidth maybe? >>

Why would bandwidth even be an issue?

All I want is to 1) register a domain (not host) and 2) have a few POP e-mail accounts.

Unlike most of the fly-by-night, money losing, soon to be in the dot.com graveyard sucker bets out there, everyone.net will still be in business next week. Save a couple of bucks and get stuck in the quicksand of a bankruptcy, or spend a couple more and know the company will be around. "Cheap" becomes very expensive when you can't do anything with the product you bought.

You decide.
