haha you gotta love Europe. Belgium is cool! I hope they're going to use a low alcohol percentage so there aren't a bunch of drunk kids out on the playground!

Edit: Just read the article. At 2.5% it would take a rather large quantity to get drunk, and it sounds like they're served pretty small bottles.

Hell, I'm all for it. If kids grow up seeing alcohol as a normal thing then they'll be less likely to abuse it as teenagers/young adults.

As if elementary shool kids aren't fvcked up enough, I really douubt they need a drinking problem too.

if we have determined that alcoholism is a disease.. and those prone to alcoholism have a greater chance of becoming dependant if exposed... isn't this a time bomb waiting to go off?

LOL, looks like he's had too many beers. And beer can lead to obesity too. Beer = water + sugar + alcohol

guys come on... we're talking about 25cl bottles here. Beer bellies come from excessive beer consumption (i.e. picking up a six pack of Nattie Light after work and drinking all of them in one sitting). Europe also has a much lesser incidence of obesity than North America. Kids all over Europe drink wine with dinner, and I don't believe there is a higher rate of alcoholism in Europe than here (someone correct me if they have facts to back themselves up). Belgians happen to be big beer-lovers, so it stands to reason that kids there might drink beer as opposed to wine.

hehe, it's true. Alcohol, consumed moderately, only targets dead or dying brain cells when it kills off brain cells. This is actually supposed to improve mental clarity, memory, etc.
