:| I've talked to alot of people that are having the same problem. The charges were made on 7/10 or 7/11. These particular charges show as a $5.00 donation to the Red Cross. Just a heads up to my fellow ATOTers.

I guess you like people going into your bank account without your permission. If that's the case give me your bank account number. I'm sure you will not mind.

DEAR LORD I MADE A JOKE. For the 50th time, I understand the seriousness of unauthorized withdrawls, but I was making a JOKE. Christ.

Have you ever donated to them? If not I would think it is probably someone else that is just using that as a cover so most people wouldn't notice. If you have donated (with that account) then they may of had a 'hiccup' and did that. Just some thoughts though.

How did the Red Cross get your bank account information?

I'm sure it's from one of the checks I had written to them in the past.

Or did you donate anything online which has a small check box which says
"I authorise red cross to deduct $5 every year / 6 months / every week etc." ???

you wrote them a paper check and you think they took your account number off that and sought to pilfer your checking account?

Something does not compute with this story.

"Can I cancel a donation?

You may need to cancel a donation. Here's how: Contact our American Red Cross Donor Services Department at findev@usa.redcross.org or (800) 797-8022 and they will request some information and handle your cancellation. For quickest assistance, please have the details of your transaction ready when you contact us.
"

you might find out you signed up for an automatic donation on accident or forgot about it. Or perhaps it's a mistake.

I agree. The only time Red Cross has received any type of bank media from me was in the form of a paper check. I don't know how they could charge me again without my knowledge.
