Just hope that in 10 years they will all be on "Where are they now" working at a gas stations.

Nice work...hopefully that show isn't around though either, I'm sick of everyone worrying so much about what celebrities are doing, driving, and smoking. There just lamers with a lot of cash

Well, I love watching cribs and I always laugh when I see a rapper that I have never heard of is some huge house that is completely stocked and all decked out in Bling. All I can think of is MC Hammer. And I really love it when I see someone who I recognize in a small little house or apartment.

Oh it happens in other fields as well. Why do sports figures make ungodly amounts of money while scientist make squat. Really thoguh... Who is going to have a bigger impact on our lives? A scientist who finds the cure for cancer or the Lakers when they win another championship?

I like sports and pro athletes have more talent then all of us combined but I don't think Shaq is worth 100 mil for putting a ball into the net. I guess he's able to draw the people into the stadiums so he should be paid accordingly .

I do not care if I get flamed for this or not, but i personally believe it is MUCH harder to be a professional athlete than it is to be a doctor. Why do you think there are so much more doctors in the world than professional athletes? And who plays 'doctor' for fun, not the 1000's of kids playing basketball for fun.

To be an athlete you have to be training from when you were younger than 10 years old, and continue to do so as you grow up. To be a doctor, you can start training when you get into college at the age of 18 or whatever. If you are a professional athlete, by the time you are 18, you pretty much know you are going to be a professional athlete, taking about 10 or 12 years or more already to train for that.

And not just anyone can pick up and be a professional football player at any given time. Anyone can decide at any time though to start hittin the books and become a doctor or scientist, at any time in their life.

Also, athletes bring in MUCH MUCH more money than doctors do. They are also more entertaining to the public eye. Thats just the way the world works, get over it.

What are you rambling about anyway? The average athletes career has started and finished before a doctor has even finished his training. A doctor performs a service to society. A football player, while entertaining, just throws a ball around and uses his natural assets of speed and strength, coupled with some training. The doctor commands far more respect to me, regardless of "How much money he brings in".

Either a lot of kids actually do play 'doctor' for fun, or the world is a much different place from when I was growing up. ;)

Dunno what your schooling was like; but where I grew up "any 18 year old" CANNOT be a doctor.

Anyone can be a doctor, if they put their minds to the books and want to be one. Not just anyone can be an athlete.

All I can say is that there is way more competition out there to be a professinoal athlete than there is being a doctor.

All you have to do is make a product that can be mass marketed to kids who generally purchase whatever MTV tells them to.

That is also the only plausible explanation for 50 Cent.

Exactly

I say ATOT should launch their own rap group, we'll mispronounce common everyday words and brag about all the jewelry own. We'll make a fortune.

This is just another symptom of what I like to coin, "The mindless mass buying mindless music."
