VOTE!

There is no valid reason to not vote.

Every single "reason" to not vote you have heard is someone attempting to gaslight you into not voting.

But what if the polls say one side or the other is a sure win? What if that report is just designed to make you think your vote doesn't count? What of everyone thought the same as you?

VOTE!

But what if it's rigged? It's not, and even if it were, staying home is admitting defeat. The single biggest "rigging" is making you believe your vote doesn't count. Refuse to be gaslit into not using your right to vote.

VOTE!

One vote can't make a difference, right? Nonsense. Every vote is a single vote. 40-50% of people don't even vote. Imagine how things could and would change if they all did?

VOTE!

What if I don't like the choices? Then always vote for whoever is not currently in power. Leaving one person or party in power for too long increases corruption. Having a single party control all levels and branches of government ENSURES massive corruption that is impossible to control. If you believe in term limits, create it yourself by always voting against the incumbent with the most likely to win opponent.

VOTE!

But I'm not registered to vote. That's no excuse, go out and register ASAP and if you think you are already registered, double check and if need be, re register. There is a reason the party currently in power is striving to deregister as many voters as they can. Don't let them succeed.

VOTE!

Are people being told not to vote?

You seem concerned.

Meanwhile, back in reality, there are millions of people out there who believe or have been led to believe that voting isn't "worth it" or worse, it's taking part in some kind of conspiracy shit.

There is a reason 40-50% don;t vote, and it's not just laziness. I have heard countless excuses, the most popular above, for not voting. And have had them pushed on me in my life.

Obviously they work on some people.

Thanks for your concern.

Not concerned. Just curious. I hadn't heard of concerted efforts to persuade people against voting.

The purpose of negative campaign adds aren't to cast aspersions against a candidate so people won't vote for him or her. It is to make politics so vile that all but the political fanatics are turned away. Who wants to vote for a piece of shit and what else in a politician. What is your opinion of politics.

It is the duty of every real American to vote the Republican party into oblivion so hold your nose and vote to do it.

So pissed that NC has been stuck with unconstitutional gerrymandered electoral maps for TWO FVCKING YEARS and we'll be stuck with them AGAIN for the midterms.

This is the only one I’m not sure of. If those extra people voted do you think the percentages would be different in the final outcome? Meaning is candidate A won by 10% that they would still win by 10% just with more voter participation?

Old people and right-wing authoritarians vote every election season. Always have, always will.

Every time some right-wing authoritarian enabler says, directly or indirectly, that BothSidesDoIt™, they are attempting to persuade people from the center and left to stay home, or to vote for the Space Jesus/Zombie Washington ticket.

Because, well, both sides are just as bad. Clinton is just as bad as Trump. Obama and Rmoney were the same. Establishment Democrats are beholden to corporations and the rich. Screw it, bro, just stay home and stare at your phone. Meanwhile, the batshit insane party continues winning local, state and Federal elections even while their party identification and policy proposal acceptance continues to drop in public opinion.

Why do you think the GOP hated ACORN so desperately? Because they registered low income people to vote.

You forgot the "Poor Bernie, so cheated!" routine & the "Well, she's gonna win anyway" routine.

ACORN was actually a front organization, secretly run by time-travelling Vincent Foster and Saul Alinksy. The organization most recently operated out of the basement of a pizza parlor that also trafficked in child prostitution, but a RealAmerican™ broke that up, and now they are currently reshuffling the organization to run out of recently closed Texas Walmarts circa 2015.

You really, really underestimate just how sinister the liberal 5th columnists are when it comes to undermining Strongman Trump's attempt to Make America Great Again. And, you know, to some extent, I almost can't blame ya, what with the total domination of Soros and Bezos over the mainstream media. You're essentially a victim in all of this, and even more frightening, you can't see what's right in front of your eyes.

Also: Benghazi.

I don’t think this is what the OP was getting at. He was just saying if any extra +-45% of people voted it would matter, he didn’t specify from where they come from or voting for anyone in particular, I was just curious if 45% more people voted if the final percentage would be much different.

The OP seemed more in a general sense where as you are targeting a specific thing.

There should be a law that makes it illegal to bitch about politics if you don't vote.

Voting is your chance to have a say...if you give up that chance, shut the fuck up about how it turns out.

Getting any kind of Federal and state tax refund should be contingent on being registered to vote and voting, regardless of how you voted. All politicians of both parties should come out in support of that law.

As David Frum offered, If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy. In all too many instances they already have.

It needs to be understood that lower income folks tend to vote Democrat yet vote at a lower rate than more affluent Americans. There is a serious income gap in voter demographics-

If lower income folks voted at the same rate as Repubs the whole political landscape would shift tremendously.

A lot of Trumps base looks pretty low income. I’m profiling based on looks lol I could be wrong.
