Every once in a while when I turn on my machine it does not boot

Maybe is nothing but one never knows, every once in a while when I turn on my machine it does not boot, fans rotate, the leds of the case and the monitor stay on, but no 'beep' indicating the boot is ever heard.

It happens to say something one out of 20 times, when the pc does boot there is no problem at all.

Could it be a mobo failure ? I have my MSI KT266PRO2 under warranty, but I cant go to the reseller and say 'it happens once in a while' because they have to verify the problem, can you give me any tip ?

Thanks Gustavo.-

You might be teetering on the edge of not having adequate power. To test: Add a couple more components and see if it begins to do it almost 100% of the time.

I'm guessing that you're running a GeForce-based video card. Although it COULD be a PSU issue, its probably the issue with the GeForce's power unit and your motherboard's PWM circuit. According to Nvidia techs a LOT of people experience this problem when the PWM circuit is unable to supply enough power to the AGP card on the 3.3v line. I've had two different computers running two different motherboards and two different GPUs, and they BOTH had this problem. Read more here:
