There are 4 in my home, OsX and two W7s plus my Vista and they can all access the internet except mine.

I'm trying to use my recently formated old Windows Vista laptop but it does not allow me to access the internet. I can connect to the router and the ethernet but I have no internet access like the other computers do. I've verified the WEP about 4 times and tried reseting everything I can think of.

Any ideas?

This is a bit open ended, so I'm moving this from OSes to Comp Help so that you can hopefully get a better response

You say that you are able to "connect to the router and the ethernet". Are you able to actually log in to the router's management page and to access other computers on your local network?

If you open a Command Prompt and type
Code:
ping www.google.com
what does it say?

If you type
Code:
ping 74.125.129.106
in that same Command Prompt, what does it say?

I had a similar issue when time warner installed internet in my house. They provided me an Arris DG860 modem/router combo unit. No matter what settings I tried, my own laptop could never get internet. 3 phones, 2 other laptops and an old desktop all worked, mine would be limited the whole time. Tried whitelisting my MAC address, blacklisting all others, flushing DNS settings, resetting router, reinstalling driver, it would connect to the router and the Arris saw my computer, but never had internet was always 'limited'. Ethernet worked fine though.

I ended up having to put the Arris in bridge mode and hook up my own D-Link router and never had issues since. The only thing the 'technician' could say is "must be your computer, I dunno." To this day it still won't connect me, though my drivers are up to date and over 30 other networks have no issue connecting.

Make sure the system time/date is correct. Try a Linux Live USB/CD/DVD to rule out a Windows setting/software issue. Try putting the laptop in DMZ.

Well there are lot of thing to check, in short first check your laptop IP assigned by router if the IP is assigned by router then it means that you have no problem with networking, check router management and search anything unusual. Then come to you laptop check for internet settings and compare with other laptops setting.
