First my dishwasher broke two weeks ago. Now my 290x is having issues, coil whine is now near unbearable. I really want to pony up and try Nvidia this time (my laptop has team green 960m). However, current 290x is custom cooled with a Kraken G10 with a NZXT 140mm water AIO cooler.

I have been itching to upgrade for ages and sold off my second 290x in mid 2015. Current monitors are one 34' LG 3440x1440 which I prefer to game on and secondary screen 28" 4k Asus display x2.

Current card did not support hooking up all three at 60 hz as it only had one displayport. Currently the one 28" is collecting dust. Use the secondary screens for youtube when playing Diablo 3 or buying stocks/homework.

Reading this forum and others makes me lean toward a 1070, as I refuse to pay over $450. The Titan X(p) or 1080 would be ideal but overpriced for my cheapness. The AMD fanboy in me still wants a RX 480, WRU 490! I prefer there driver UI.

Game I current play: Starcraft, Diablo 3.

Plan to play: Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim again, after its updated.

I oddly want to just ditch the water and go all air for this machine. I will save the water cooler after I smash the 290x in a million pieces!
