Every game is crashing with me

Hey folks... I have been having a weird syndrome with my PC lately. I first tried to OC it with ATI Tray Tools and then installed RivaTuner as well for a voltage increase on the core (using the two in conjunction). Suddenly all games started crashing on me (CoH, Oblivion, Riddick..). I removed my old drivers and installed the latest catalyst 10.8 but still no go. 10-20 minutes within any game and I get a crash report. This all still happens after I reverted to stock clock speeds. This is my rig:

E8400+ @ 3.4GHz
Kingmax DDR2 800 2GB
Sapphire HD4870 512MB
Maxtor 80 GB + Seagate 250 GB
Running Windows 7 OS Ultimate 32 bit

Could some1 give me a clue why this is happening? could it be becus I have both ATT and rivatuner installed (even tho I have rivatuner turned off (not running) for most games)? Ati GPU drivers? I know it cannot be the games cus every game crashes...

voltage are back to normal.
VirtualLarry: But last couple of runs I only had ATT running while riva tuner was not running at all. it was shuwdown. I completely relied on ATT...

i just uninstalled riva, att, and catalyst, restarted, then installed catalyst and att. ran CoH. crashed.... :s btw i do not install CCC i only install the display driver plus ATI install manager. anyideas guys? 🙁

btw, now in 2D mode the screen will sometimes go black and come back and I get a message that AMD display driver failed and recovered... :S wat on earth is this?

Put your card into your friend's PC and see if it happens. If it doesn't, than there is no point of finding out what broke.

Stop overclocking everything and reset your motherboard's bios. If that doesn't help, run driver sweeper and clear everything out then reinstall what you cleared up.

Did you run Driver Sweeper?

If not, download and install it. Uninstall everything graphics-based (Riva, ATT, ATI driver, etc.). Restart into SAFE MODE (this is crucial). Run Driver Sweeper and let it clean out all ATI drivers (and Nvidia as well, if you previously had a Nvidia card). Restart into normal mode. Download and reinstall latest Catalyst driver (display driver only). Restart again.

If you still get driver crashes, you may need to completely reformat and reinstall your OS. Otherwise, it could be a power supply, graphics card, motherboard, or even hard drive problem.

RivaTuner's drivers are still installed, and AFAIK, if you've ever selected to set settings when windows starts, then it is active in the background.

Ok ran driver sweeper and its back to normal (I guess). I tried Ridick and it didnt crash and played a 4 vs 4 game with CPU bots for like 30-40 mins and it didnt crash either so I think that settles it. Btw, in what way do higher voltage damage the card aside from heat?
