"Fine." (slight pause) "You get hit by the flood over the weekend?"

"Fortunately, no -- I was one of the lucky ones. My neighbor across the street, however... boy oh boy, he had flood water in his house that was over a foot deep. Ruined his carpets and everything. I sure felt sorry for the guy. Sucks, doesn't it?"

"Sure does."

"You hear about that lady that drowned in that downtown building?"

"Holy cow, YEAH! That was crazy -- you know she was asked to move her car in the building's basement, or it would float away."

"Yeah, I know. Bad way to go. I couldn't STAND being drowned."

"Yeah."

"Yeah." (looks at watch) "Well, gotta get back to work. See ya' around."

"Okay, bud, have fun!"

EVERY CONVERSATION WAS LIKE THIS! YEESH!
