Here's a weird one for you...

AnandTech Forums is trying to load something, and locking up Firefox (might be a Java script).

I've tried every machine on my LAN, including a lappy! Locks up Firefox on all of them!

If that isn't weird enough, when I logged on with IE, I noticed...

I don't know what, if anything, can be done about it. I have asked but it's probably not anything we have control over. For now just avoid the forum home page and you should be okay.

Yes, there's a thread about that. I don't know if that particular problem occurs only for the 46,000+ on the list or for everyone. Hopefully there are no more places it affects. We may have to wait until tomorrow when the list changes for a solution.

Looks like it. The Forum Administrator doesn't have the ability to go in and change it, so looks like waiting until tomorrow when the list changes is the only option. At least we'll know what the problem is when it happens again on 01/01/2009.

The sql db for FuseTalk *probably* entered 1-Jan-1980 (or some such date) into the BD table, for those that didn't provide one...

One of the reasone I wanted to get it fixed was because of dial-up users. If it was as slow as I saw it fro broadband, it must be excurciating for dial-up. I'm sorry but don't go to the Home page or to your latest posts until tomorrow. The Administrator can't access any of that to change it. There's nothing that can be done by us.
