I am having a peculiar problem in vista. Every 60 seconds on the nose I get a crash in connectivity for 1 second, then things return to normal. This makes playing online games obviously quite difficult. From what I gather, this problem is associated with windows attempting to find a better network to connect to every 60 seconds, so It puts the one Im using on hold, or at least this was the problem in XP using WZC.
In XP I did not have this problem, because I could use Linksys's connection agent. My wireless card is a WMP54Gv4.0 from Linksys, however there are no official 64 bit drivers from them, so I am left using the Ralink 2500 drivers. As a whole the wireless network connection works fine... minus repeated lag in latency sensitive games.
Does anyone know how I can make windows stop searching for alternate networks every 60 seconds in vista?
